Optimized Wellness
  for Every Woman

Get to the bottom of your health concerns with a personalized healthcare approach!

It should feel natural to feel well in your body.

Signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances can look different for each woman. However, one thing that is commonly experienced is a feeling that “something is off”. Symptoms such as fatigue, bloating, weight gain, PMS, hot flashes, and mood swings are experienced by many women and often brushed off as the typical female experience.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Some underlying factors that contribute to hormonal imbalances include nutrient deficiencies, impaired detox systems, chronic inflammation, disrupted gut microbiome, and chronic stress. As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Yas is always looking for the root causes for why your hormones and health are out of balance. Through comprehensive history taking and lab testing, she identifies areas of imbalances in your body and recommends natural treatment options to restore your health.

Our 5 Pillars of Hormone Balance

Digestive Balance

Your gut microbiome plays a huge role in your hormone balance, including your thyroid hormone, insulin, cortisol, and estrogen.

Digestive imbalances we address:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Candida Overgrowth
  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)
  • Parasites
  • Food Sensitivities
  • Bloating
  • Chronic Constipation
  • Persistent Diarrhea
  • Diverticulosis/Diverticulitis
  • Leaky Gut Syndrome
  • Heartburn

Detoxification

Environmental toxins found in our food, water, air, home, and personal care products can affect our hormone balance, causing either high or low hormone levels.

Did you know your genetics play a huge role in how well you detoxify? Some women have a harder time detoxing or have severe detox reactions based on their genetic variants (SNPs). We assess for these SNPs to support your body’s detoxification pathways accordingly.

Optimal Immunity

Low immunity or autoimmune conditions we address:

  • Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
  • Grave’s Disease
  • Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Celiac Disease

Emotional Health

Chronic stress is a great contributor to hormonal imbalance. Cortisol, your stress hormone, can lower your sex hormones when its levels are chronically high.

Find natural relief for anxiety and depression.

Emotional concerns we address:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Memory concerns
  • Insomnia

Who are naturopathic medical doctors?

Naturopathic doctors are trained in a rigorous four year medical program while undergoing additional training in alternative and holistic therapeutics (for more information go to www.naturopathic.org).

It is quite difficult to treat one body part without treating the rest of its parts. Every organ in the body has an impact on some other organ in the body. Naturopathic Medicine takes into account all of the body’s organ systems, physiology, and biochemistry and utilizes therapies that harmoniously work to gently and efficaciously treat the most current concern, while constantly digging to delve into the root of the problem.

Naturopathic medicine addresses not just your physical well-being, but also your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Sometimes, the physical concern is simply a matter of an improper diet, poor lifestyle habits, or exposure to an allergen or toxin you’re not aware of. Other times, the physical concern is attributed to deep-seated thought patterns and unresolved stress. More often than not, it is a combination of all three areas that contribute to a state of illness in the body.

The human body is a beautiful, intricate, and interconnected system that functions to constantly balance itself out. Naturopathic Medicine honors this concept and uses approaches and treatments to holistically achieve balance in the body. Using modern science and the latest technology paired with traditional and well-known natural therapies allows for a powerful duality to tackle your health concerns head on.

Dr. Yas is licensed to prescribe a variety of prescription medications, however, they are usually selected only if appropriate for the individual’s case. She has found that the alternative approaches she prescribes are very effective and provide your body what it needs to restore and repair itself. This does not mean that you should come off of your medications or that she would take you off of your medications right away. She will work with your other health care practitioners if you are on prescription medications to find the best solutions for you.

From a clinical standpoint, you can expect to learn a lot about your body and health in general, as Dr. Yas enjoys educating her patients in a simple and practical way that makes sense to them. She actively engages in up-to-date and evidence-based educational materials to bring the most effective strategies to her practice.

You can expect to be heard and seen as an individual experiencing the health condition and not being another number or diagnosis. Dr. Yas spends a significant amount of time with her patients to truly understand their source of dis-ease and discern the best route to proceed forward with. You can expect compassion and dedication, and ultimately, a partner in your journey towards wellness. She truly believe in the healing process and will always stand for your greatest outcomes, despite what you’ve been told in the past about your health condition.

There are various factors to take into consideration that generally contribute to the rate of healing, such as your specific health condition, your age, the number of medications you are currently on, and your level of participation in the process. It is important that you implement the lifestyle recommendations and maintain them to see optimal results. Using natural medicines may sometimes take longer to see results, however, we assure our patients that following healthy lifestyle practices will always move them in the right direction. Most of our patients feel better within the first month of treatment and continue improving thereafter.
